About Us
A Little About Ukuvuva NPC
Ukuvuza is a Not for Profit Organization. It was established in 2016, by the General Meeting at Diepsloot Community Centre attended by Diepsloot and Olivenhoutbosch community members. It was formed according to the willingness of the community people in a view to deal with the present socio-economic problems in different communities by means of good understanding and sharing the problems with each other and to find out the best way of solving the problems through free discussion and people participation in the decision making.

It aims for the empowerment of victims and survivors of Gender based violence, assist the vulnerable and empower them towards their sustainability.
Mission
UKUVUZA seeks to work and assist the vulnerable, needy and neglected people in low income communities. UKUVUZA takes all necessary initiatives towards empowerment of community members in order to build resilience and enable them to solve their own socio-economic problems by themselves.
Vision
UKUVUZA visualized a violent free society, poverty free, socially, economically self-reliant and society that is conscious about basic rights and human dignity.
Goal
To help and develop the distressed, needy, neglected and vulnerable people in Diepsloot and Olivenhoutbosch area, socially and economically by providing them necessary assistance for sustaining their lives and conditions specially the women and children

UKUVUZA is working towards achieving the following objectives for the benefit of its target group the vulnerable, poor, socially and economically deprived people
Our Objectives
Create awareness of human rights among the community
Promote victim empowerment services and encourage people to exercise their rights to access services
To concientise and create awareness among the people on Gender Based Violence
Women empowerment in organizing, mobilizing, developing capacity and skills and creating provision of inclusion in decision making process in family and community enabling them to become economically and socially independent
To co-operate and assist in suitable joint venture with the government Organizations and stakeholders seeking the goal of redressing Gender Based ViolencePromote youth & women groups towards poverty eradication and sustainable development process through - skills development
Develop healthy working relationship between the community, Government and voluntary organizations.
